I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
